Hi! My name is Giel Oomen, and I am a software developer with a background in robotics. My current focus is on Azure, where I develop cloud architectures and solutions that are scalable.

For my graduation project, I built computer vision software that utilized a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to classify pears. I used conventional computer vision techniques to measure attributes like width, height, ratios, and color percentages. The CNN was employed to ensure there were no anomalies, and if any were present, to determine their severity.

After graduating, I founded my own computer vision company in 2019. Having completed numerous vision projects, I then transitioned into utilizing Azure (specifically, digital twins) to manage building data on a large scale.

I've started this blog to share insights and solutions to some of the more challenging issues I encounter while developing.
